About Crystal Colloidals

Most colloidal platinum is not what it claims to be. Crystal is.

Most products sold as colloidal platinum are ionic platinum or platinum compounds, and the difference matters. A platinum ion is a charged form of the metal rather than the metal itself; it behaves chemically like a dissolved compound. Metallic platinum does not dissolve in water. Ionic platinum does, because the ionic form is water-soluble. When dissolved, the result is clear — there is nothing solid in suspension to scatter light.

Genuine colloidal platinum is different. It contains actual metallic platinum nanoparticles, suspended in water rather than dissolved into it. Producing it properly requires specialised equipment and a controlled process to keep those particles intact, stable, and evenly distributed without clumping or settling. It takes longer and costs more, which is why most producers take the simpler route.

What is the difference between colloidal platinum and ionic platinum?
Ionic platinum is a solution of dissolved platinum ions in water — typically platinum compounds rather than free metal. True colloidal platinum contains actual physical platinum nanoparticles suspended in water. The vast majority of products sold as colloidal platinum contain ionic forms. Crystal contains genuine 99.95% pure platinum nanoparticles, 20 nm in size. Those particles produce the characteristic light silver colour of true colloidal platinum. A clear product has nothing in suspension to produce that colour.
Why is 10 PPM better than 500 PPM?
PPM measures platinum concentration by mass and nothing else. A high PPM number tells you nothing about particle size, particle count, or whether the platinum is ionic or colloidal. Our 5 PPM formula with 20 nm particles contains stable, well-distributed platinum nanoparticles in suspension. The number on the label is not the whole story — particle size and stability matter more.
What if I do not notice any effect?

How do I verify this is genuine quality?
Three things. First, the colour: genuine colloidal platinum is light silver. A clear product is ionic, not colloidal. Second, the absence of foam: shake the bottle vigorously, persistent foam above the liquid means protein binders are present. Crystal produces no foam. Third, our downloadable lab certificate, available on this page, shows the Dynamic Light Scattering particle measurement data and ICP-MS concentration data for the specific batch — measured by the Institute of Public Health in Ostrava (ISO/IEC 17025 accredited, AZL 1393).
Why is the liquid light silver?
Platinum nanoparticles in suspension absorb and scatter visible light to produce the characteristic light silver hue. The colour is the direct visual indicator of genuine colloidal platinum content. A clear product labelled colloidal platinum is almost always ionic platinum or a platinum compound — both are dissolved solutions, not colloids, and both lack the platinum nanoparticles that produce the colour.
